Computer hard reset??

HI All,

I am having some trouble with the adjustable steering wheel functions. Unfortunately, the problem is not consistent. When entering and turning on the vehicle, sometimes the wheel goes to the desired spot automatically, sometimes it tries to crush my legs and other times it does nothing, but operates manually.

I was wondering if there is a particular computer on board that runs these functions, and if so, can it be rebooted or re-set?

Thanks

Have you had your battery checked? I've read (& seen) that when the battery is weak or not corrected properly (loose connection) that the individual ECUs can do odd things. If you still have the original battery, could be getting weak. Other than that, I don't know why it would be so inconsistant in where it's going, unless one or both of the motors are about to go. If they are binding up, the replacement of those motors can be a bit expensive.
I'd just as soon disconnect them where they fit me best & do without all this moving in & out, up & down stuff.

I am not sure about the age of the battery, but it checks out okay on a load meter etc. I think that disabling the motors once I get it where I want it might be the best bet, but its just a pity to not have everything working.

Thanks for the input though.
