| Metropolis Schoolhouse, Nevada.
Located in a remote corner of northeastern Nevada with the Ruby Mountains as a backdrop, Metropolis can only be accessed by may miles of dirt roads. In the 1920's a grand plan was developed for a town here with farms fed by water piped from the Humboldt River. The scheme died when water rights were greatly attenuated, but not before substantial building had taken place. |
