Car Cannibal is the opposite of this: :thumb:

I say let them burn.

If I was a sponsor here, I would remove my sponsorship, as taking away people's money is often times the only way to get their attention.
But alas, I'm just a lowly sh*t stirrer on here, with just enough knowledge to make newbs think I know something, and the vets know that I don't know jack. :shhh:
"There are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations." --James Madison, speech to the Virginia Ratifying Convention, 1788

Rob at CC owes me $150. For a foglight and console mat he never shipped me but charged my credit card for. Never calls me back, no emails back, and I always get hung up on whe I call and he picks up. By the way, I ordered those things two years ago now.

So now its credit card fraud....complain to your bank and they may just cancel his merchant operation for banking, the more that complain the better it is in the long run.....

Wonder if he'll ever come on here and lay it all out what went wrong...money is a evil thing..

Try dealing with Bank Of America. Im still fighting the charge.

They want get on here. They know how bad they are screwing people. They will blame it on everything other than they are just crooked. I hope they get all their asses brought up on charges and nicked.

Thanks for the alert about this matter. Carl kindly alerted me to it on 10/21. I had a brief look at it then but I apologize for not having a chance to look into it properly until now.

I am happy to remove the Car Cannibal sponsorship line from the top of the forum until these issues are resolved, and I have been attempting to do so today. However since the last software update something appears to have changed in the way this has to be done, and I think I will need to get help from our forum sofware guru on this, so it may take a few days. Meanwhile I will attempt to alert Car Cannibal to the problem one of our members is having and see if we can get it resolved.

I see from the newspaper article referenced that there have been a number of other complaints about the company. I am not going to set up in judgement of that situation as from other areas of life I know there are usually two sides to every story. Meanwhile if you are worried that I am getting rich off Car Cannibal sponsorship, you should know that although they are listed as a sponsor of this site, Rangerovers.net has not received any payment from them for a long time.

It is entirely appropriate for members of this forum to discuss their experiences with vendors in the Land Rover world, but I do not consider it appropriate to use put-downs of vendors or any company or individual as a signature line. I would request that such signatures be removed or replaced.

Many thanks for your help in keeping our forums a mutually respectful and civilized place for discussion, and for your patience with me!!

Best wishes and thanks

John

John: Thank you for your attention to this matter, & for offering to intercede with Car Cannibal on my behalf. I truly hope this problem with them is all just a misunderstanding/communications error, but if it isn't, I would hate for others to experience the same problems I have.

Hopefully, a resolution will be reached. If so, I will certainly be back here to post the success.

Again, thank you all for your support, & for your help & suggestions.

The more I've been reading else where on this issue the more apparent this lot are con artists and should be taken out,
Sadly Im in favour of such actions and fully support it, bring back the 70s where assasinations were the norm of the day and it worked well.

Hmmmm...

It is frustrating, to be sure. Car Cannibal started answering some of my emails again in November, but they still haven't paid me. Ryan says he's working on my payment, but doesn't have an estimated time when he'll be able to pay me. :x

contact your state attorney general's office for business.

trust me they have websites and the phone numbers for it.
I left my wife for fishing and haven't looked back since.

Yes, thanks, that's one of the steps on my list. I've already filed a complaint with the Oklahoma Attorney General's office (since Car Cannibal is located in Oklahoma City), but they referred it to another agency (Used Motor Vehichles & Parts Association, I think).

sorry to bring up an older topic but have you reported the car stolen? If not you should.

I did speak to my local police department to try to report my Rover as stolen, but they said I couldn't. I was told it was a civil matter since I knowingly/willing released the vehicle.

Thanks for your suggestion, though.
