Heard a Netjets aircraft ran off the end of the runway doing brake tests.Dont know any details though :think:

Whats your A/Cs reg?.I will be at EGLF Sunday PM,will keep a look out.

What I heard it was a Falcon 2000 in for maintenance, doing brake test, wheels one one side locked up, blew tires and caught fire.

You got a PM

Yeah ,I guess we take it for granted.The four letter codes for airports.The first two letters being for the country and the next two the airport itself.
IE. EGLF EG is for the UK. and LF for Farnborough airport. LFPB= France+ Le Bourget airport. FACT= South Africa+ Cape town International. etc....

FSI= FlightSafety International= a company dedicated to training General aviation Pilots (mainly Business jet pilots) on multi axis flight simulators.
CAE= a competitive company to FSI. :D

Crytal clear...thanks for the info...seems like even the 2 letter country codes are coded!

LF = Le France
EG = England, not UK?

Well, actually, the first letter is the region:
(more or less)
E = northen Europe, from Germany up
L = southern Europe, Switzerland down
O = Middle East
K = USA

the second letter is the country

I = Italy (LI)
I =Ireland (EI)
I = Iran (OI)
G = UK
F = France
D = Germany and so on

The 3rd and 4th letter are the airport(some are self-explanatory others a bit more "dark")

I recently attended a "Dads and Doughnuts" day at my daughters school. For a project the kids had to draw a picture of their Dad and answer several questions to include what their Dad did for a living. According to my 6 year old daughter, I work at a college and coach the football team. That would be a great job, but I actually work at one of the three letter agencies in the DC Metro area and obviously don't talk much about work. I guess my daughter concluded that I must be a college football coach since I spend so much time in front of the TV on Saturdays from the end of August to the begining of December. She probably wishes I coached football because that sounds more interesting to a 6 year old. Oh well.

Qualified in the trade of "Earth moving equipment mechanic" used to fix them Cat and other big things, stopped doing it cos pay is c r a p for the work you have to do but that was a long time ago, then went onto fixing trucks which I really enjoyed
Done abit of IT here and there but it bored me and just for a laugh drove trucks UK side for a few months 'till i got bored

Been working for myself for many years and enjoy every minute cos I meet alot of good people who own.... oh no, Rangies

I have a wife, my two kids and her two kids that I adopted so I work for them! :mrgreen:

To pay for that, I am employed as a plant manager. As a second career, I have MAR :shock: in Church History and Theology and sometimes lead worship services at our Methodist church or at Seniors centers.

42 year old barrister specialising in construction/infrastructure disputes - live in Melbourne with my gorgeous English wife (of Indian ethnicity) (whose family lives near Solihull!) and our two lovely kids.

Brought my P38 as a present for my dad four years ago after he was diagnsoed with lung cancer - last thing he wanted to do was go for one last long drive across this great land of ours - he always wanted a range rover (he had a series III) but could never afford one but raised and educated me so I could - least I could do - unfortunately he didn't live long enough to know I got him one - now it's mine and I'll have it forever

Merry xmas everyone

I import and distribute wine, spirits, and coffee for the past 10 years. Prior to that, I owned 3 golf stores.
Bought my P38 brand new in 2001. Will never get rid of it.

Don't mind having new best friends. Especially RR owners!

Yup, I forgot about college students. That's another full time job in and of itself. I graduated in 2004. Had a great time, but I certainly don't miss all the studying and being broke. It's cool that you can use mturk for income though.
